GET YOUR FIX |
|
Oh happy days are here again! Okay, maybe not
but as the days go by, Anarchy Online gets smoother... well maybe the word smooth is pushing
it. Let us just say that playing AO no longer gives me the feeling of having my nuts
smashed with a mayo jar every five minutes. Barring one or two disconnects, me and
Stryker were able to get some time in on the game and level up a bit. Yeehaw. Anyhoo,
two big updates for the real world problems of AO, ie the User Name/Password errors and Funcom's response to
if we'll be compensated for going through all this sh-t. In regards to the password
problem, Fadinaway had this to say:
We now have a fix for those of you
that were getting reply emails with NO PASSWORD or a BLANK PASSWORD. This will also help
those with the "CD Key In Use error". Those errors are caused by the
registration process timing out. Some of these could have resulted in Password in Use
errors as well.
You can find the fix page at the following URL: http://register.funcom.com/pwfix.php
This should help with these errors and we should be seeing you in Rubi-Ka very soon! |
Yay. So now the people that PAY F-CKING MONEY for the game
last week can play. You know, as if the disconnects were not bad enough, how'd you
like to be one of the poor f-ckers that had this problem? Man... Funcom should be
kissing and shining these people's asses right now. And on that subject, AO's
official community site had this tidbit posted on whether we would be compensated for
being f-cked over like a drunk prom date by Funcom:
We have been getting a lot of
questions from people that wonder if they will be compensated for the problems we, and you
as a player, experience today.
Our official reply to this is; Yes, you will!. We understand that we are using your time,
and we wish our customers to be happy and satisfied with the product. We are still in
discussions on how and when we will do this, but we promise you that we will compensate
you.
Again we would like to point out that we are working in overgear to fix the problems we
have. Thank you very much for your patience and your support. |
Smells like a free month, so I may feel somewhat appeased.
My nuts still ache though. |

Microsatan...*ahem*...Microsoft has
announced that there will be a Dev Chat on July 5th centered around the upcoming Dark
Majesty expansion pack which promises a new land mass, housing and the ability to
remove your pants five times faster. Here is the official announcement
because I may be lying. I do that you know:
With the announcement of the planned
release of Asheron's Call Dark Majesty, questions abound as players around the
world buzz with excitement. The addition of player housing and secure storage as well as
the return of an ancient foe brings the promise of exciting new events and adventures.
With the news of the new expansion pack comes a host of new questions and concerns. So on Thursday
July 5th at 4PM PST (7PM EST) come join us here for a 2
hour chat with the developers of Asheron's Call: Dark Majesty. We look forward to
seeing you there. |
No word on if Ken Troop will be drunk or not. I know I
will. |

RANT AGE OF CAMELOT |
|
It's official. Lum is a whore.
Short version: I've taken a
job as a tools programmer with Mythic Entertainment, and will be working on
behind-the-scenes stuff related to making Dark Age of Camelot's customer service better.
To quote my new co-worker Sanya "Tweety" Thomas, "please direct all
complaints about me being a sell out corporate whore to www.I Don't See You Paying For My
Health Insurance.com."
As part of my new position, since ranting about our competitors would be wildly
inappropriate, I'm turning this website over to its other writers. |
Read the full details here. Best of
luck Lum, the site will truly not be the same without you. In fact, it will probably
suck ass. |

I really don't care about the patch. But here it is: Anachronox patch

OOO, SHINY |

The dudes at Shadowbane have given us their second Dev
Journal installment this week. Here's what they have to offer us:
This week's update has been prepared
in conjunction with one of our fan sites, Shadowbane WarCry. Today, our pals at WarCry
will be posting a detailed interview with Dodger, one of Wolfpack's newest
employees. Dodger is currently working on graphics and visual effects programming, and has
been refining some of the newest and flashiest elements of Shadowbane (like terrain
multi-texturing, environmental effects, and magic power particles and animations.) The
interview will also feature some all-new screenshots of Dodger's work in progress. Check
it all out here.
Also, make sure to check out the Articles section
for recent articles about Shadowbane. |
Screenshots, yes very nice. *Yawn*...hmm DAWN DAWN DAWN!
Sorry. |
